COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Entering the 2023 season, three Mountain West men’s and women’s programs are ranked in the NCAA Division I Preseason Cross Country polls, released Wednesday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

On the women’s side, New Mexico is ranked No. 21 in the first coaches poll of the year with 112 points, while Mountain West preseason favorite Colorado State ranks 26th with 56 points.

Additionally, Air Force and Boise State are receiving votes in the women’s poll.

Air Force is ranked in the top 20 heading into the 2023 season on the men’s side. The Falcons are ranked 17th with 161 points.
