LAS VEGAS – Wyoming graduate student Alyssa Glover has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while UTEP sophomore Savanah Finley was selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week. Wyoming newcomer Isabel Vasco has been tabbed the MW Women’s Soccer Freshman of the Week.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ALYSSA GLOVER, WYOMING
Graduate Student, Englewood, Colorado/Cherry Creek HS

• Led Wyoming to a 1-1 record during the third week of the season with a 5-2 win over South Dakota and a 2-1 setback to South Carolina.
• Recorded three goals for the six points in two starts.
• Scored the lone Cowgirl goal against South Carolina in 70 minutes of action.
• Netted a brace in the win over USD on six shots and 52 minutes of work on the pitch.

 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SAVANAH FINLEY, UTEP
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Rockwall, Texas/Rockwall-Heath HS

• Helped UTEP to a 1-0 victory at Northern Arizona to remain unbeaten on the season.
• Posted her fourth clean sheet of the season after playing 90 minutes in goal.
• Tied season-high mark with five saves.

 
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
ISABEL VASCO, WYOMING
Forward, Green River, Wyoming/Green River HS

• Helped Wyoming to a 1-1 record last weekend with a win over South Dakota (5-2) and a loss to South Carolina (2-1).
• Recorded two goals and two assists for six points in two appearances.
• Posted two goals and an assist against USD, while assisting the Cowgirls’ goal against South Carolina.
