LAS VEGAS – UNLV sophomore forward Julia Salem has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while Wyoming senior defender Lauren Westwood was selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week. Air Force newcomer Ashley Yenawine has been tabbed the MW Women’s Soccer Freshman of the Week.

• Led UNLV to a 3-2 win over Pacific.
• Recorded a goal and an assist in 51 minutes of work on the pitch.
• Scored the game-winning goal and assisted the Rebels’ second goal of the match.

 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LAUREN WESTWOOD, WYOMING
Senior, Defender, Farnborough, Hampshire, England/John Madejski Academy

• Guided Wyoming to a 1-0 victory at Colorado State.
• Part of the Cowgirls’ backline that shutout the Rams.
• Scored the game-winning goal in the 18^th minute.

ASHLEY YENAWINE, AIR FORCE
Midfielder, Westfield, New Jersey /Westfield HS

• Helped Air Force to a win at Denver (2-1) and a draw against Eastern Washington (2-2).
• Recorded a goal for two points and two shots in 43 minutes of action.
• Scored the equalizing goal against the Eagles.
