LAS VEGAS – UNLV sophomore forward Maxim Scordo has been named Mountain West Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week, while Air Force goalkeeper Hunter Anderson was selected as the MW Defensive Player and Freshman of the Week.

• Led UNLV to a 2-1 win over CSUN to open the 2026 campaign.
• Netted a brace for four points in the season-opening victory.
• Tallied four shots in 59 minutes of action.

 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER/FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
HUNTER ANDERSON, AIR FORCE
Freshman, Goalkeeper, Lake Stevens, Washington/Lake Stevens HS
 

• Helped Air Force to an unbeaten record to start the season with a 1-1 draw against Army and a 0-0 draw against Marist.
• Limited opponents to one goal and posted 16 shots in 180 minutes of action in goal.
• Recorded a shutout against Marist with 10 saves.
