Mountain West to Open State-of-the-Art Replay Operations Center Saturday

LAS VEGAS – The Mountain West will open a new Replay Operations Center (ROC) on Saturday, located inside the Conference headquarters in Las Vegas.

The 600-square-foot facility will connect the replay official at the stadium to a team of off-site replay officials, allowing for real-time collaboration that is designed to reduce delays and elevate accuracy.

“The Mountain West Replay Operations Center is a transformative investment that reflects our commitment to providing the highest standard of competition,” said John Sullivan, MW Associate Commissioner for Football. “The facility will improve replay operations, support the development and evaluation of officials, and create new opportunities to increase transparency and engagement for fans while helping position the Mountain West at the forefront of innovation in college football.”

The MW ROC will open Saturday, Aug. 29, featuring seven replay stations and will provide multiple benefits:
  • Leverage real-time access to both broadcast and coaching camera video feeds to deliver multi-perspective oversight during video reviews.
  • Multiple goal-line cameras, installed across all Mountain West stadiums, to deliver clarity for goal-line reviews.
  • An integrated communications network, directly linking stadiums, replay officials and officiating leadership for unified decision-making.
  • Full game archives from every MW football contest will fuel ongoing performance evaluations and officiating development.
"DVSport is excited to partner with the Mountain West Conference on its new state-of-the-art video review center,” said Kim Jackson, DVSport’s Vice President of Broadcast & Replay Solutions. “They continue to look for ways to leverage the latest technology to improve officiating processes.  This investment is another example of the Conference's commitment to providing officials the latest technological tools to aid in call efficiency, accuracy and enhance their development program."

In recent years, the Mountain West’s collaborative replay process has operated out of DVSport’s headquarters in Pittsburgh.
