LAS VEGAS – The Mountain West announced its 2026-27 preseason predicted order of finish as voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches and select media. For the fourth consecutive year, the UNLV Lady Rebels were tabbed the preseason favorite.
The Lady Rebels finished last season 21-11 overall and 15-5 in MW action. Head coach
Lindy La Rocque has captained the Scarlet and Gray to the MW regular-season title four of the last five seasons.
UNLV collected 16 of the 22 first-place votes and totaled 193 points in the preseason poll. The Lady Rebels return four letterwinners from last season, including starters
Meadow Roland and
Jasmyn Lott, along with teammates
Trystan James and
Sydni Summers.
In second place with five first-place votes is Grand Canyon, in third and fourth place is league newcomers UC Davis and Hawai’i, respectively. Rounding out the top half of the poll is New Mexico, which earned the final first-place vote.
The Air Force Falcons are predicted to finish sixth, followed by Wyoming, Nevada, MW newcomer UTEP and San José State, respectively.
