DeKALB, Ill. – Wide Receiver DeAree Rogers of the Northern Illinois University football team has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation announced today. The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver.
Rogers is one of six additions the organization announced this week, including four wide receivers and two tight ends. See the
full watch list here.
Through seven games, Rogers has 537 receiving yards on 57 receptions and four touchdowns. Rogers ranks fourth in the FBS in receptions and top 40 in receiving yards per game (76.7), leading the Mountain West in both categories.
The South Carolina native is coming off his second 100-yard performance of the season last weekend against Hawai'i, going for a season-high 115 yards and two touchdowns on eight catches. Rogers has three games with 10 or more catches and is the first NIU player to do so in a single season since Kenny Golladay (three games, 2016).
Rogers is the only player in the Mountain West with at least 50 receptions and 500 or more yards this season while ranking tied for second in touchdown receptions. The redshirt senior is 10 catches away from cracking into the Huskies single-season receptions list and surpassing NIU Hall of Famer Justin McCareins (66 catches, 2000).
Rogers is the third Huskie to be named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List since 2015, joining Golladay (2015, 2016) and Trayvon Rudolph (2022).
