The Rotary Club of Houston and Lombardi Award™ Committee announced the 2026 Midseason Watchlist featuring 60 of the nation's top linemen and linebackers. The players selected were evaluated based on their performances during the 2026 season to date, as well as their potential impact through the remainder of the campaign.

Players from all FBS conferences and independents were considered, representing an elite group of athletes who embody the leadership, discipline, and excellence the Lombardi Award™ stands for.
The Lombardi Award™, presented annually to the nation's best college offensive or defensive lineman, will once again be awarded at a ceremony in Houston, Texas, on December 9, 2026. Celebrating its 53rd anniversary, the Lombardi Award™ has been presented in Houston, Texas, since its establishment in 1970.

Fletcher has led the Falcons in tackles in all five games this season, notching double figures in four straight games. He recorded his top two tackle games of his career in back-to-back games earlier this season with a career-best 14 tackles vs. North Dakota State and 13 at Nevada. He has 10 career double figure tackle games. He is second in the MW and third nationally in tackles per game with an 11.0 mark.

This is the third major award watch list for Fletcher, who is also on Bronko Nagurski Trophy Preseason Watch List (National Defensive Player of the Year) and Bednarik Award Watch List (Outstanding Defensive Player).

It is presented to outstanding linemen and linebackers who best epitomize his values of leadership, courage, performance, and discipline on and off the field. Furthermore, the watchlist includes players who are consistently showing the values of strength, agility, and football acumen in their respective positions.
