COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State senior Justin Stransky has been named the Mountain West Baseball Player of the Week, while Bulldog teammate Aidan Cremarosa earned his third MW Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor in 2025. Nevada’s Sean Yamaguchi earned the MW Baseball Freshman of the Week nod for the fourth time this season.

 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JUSTIN STRANSKY, FRESNO STATE

Senior, Catcher, Puyallup, Washington/Lower Columbia River JC

  • Helped Fresno State to a 2-2 record last week against CSU Bakersfield and San José State.
  • Batted .733 in four starts behind the plate with 11 hits, including five home runs, nine RBIs and eight runs scored.
  • Also registered three walks and didn’t record a strikeout in 15 plate appearances.
  • Posted a 1.800 slugging percentage and a .778 on-base percentage.

 

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

AIDAN CREMAROSA, FRESNO STATE

Junior, Burbank, California/ IMG Academy

  • Led Fresno State to a 10-0 win over San José State to clinch a berth in the MW championship.
  • Tossed seven shutout innings, scattering two singles and one walk.
  • Struck out six batters.

 

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

SEAN YAMAGUCHI, NEVADA

Infield, Aiea, Hawai’i/Saint Louis HS

  • Led Nevada to a 3-1 record last week, including a series victory over San Diego State.
  • Hit .429 in four starts at third base with six hits, five RBIs, four runs scored and three walks.
  • Posted an .857 slugging percentage and a .529 on-base percentage.
