COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nevada’s Aaliyah Jenkins was tabbed the Mountain West Softball Player of the Week, while San Deigo State’s Grace Uribe earned the MW Softball Pitcher of the Week nod. Yanina Sherwood collected the MW Softball Freshman of the Week.
This is the fifth weekly honor for Jenkins, first for Uribe and Sherwood during the 2025 season.

AALIYAH JENKINS, NEVADA
Senior, C/UTL, Tracy, California/Tracy HS
- Led Nevada to a 3-0 road series sweep over New Mexico.
- The senior registered a home run in all three matchups.
- On 11 at-bats, logged seven runs including three home runs and a double on six hits and batted in eight runners.
- Additionally, had two stolen bases for the Wolf Pack.
- Defensively, recorded 12 putouts.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
GRACE URIBE, SAN DIEGO STATE
Senior, Huntington Beach, California/Texas A&M
- Guided the Aztecs to a win over No. 12/13 Arizona.
- Logged a 0.00 ERA through six innings in the circle.
- Allowed only two hits and struck out one batter.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
YANINA SHERWOOD, UNLV
Pitcher, Mill Creek, Washington/Henry M. Jackson HS
- Helped the Rebels to a 2-1 road series at Utah State.
- Started two games in the circle for the Scarlett and Gray.
- Through 12 innings in the circle, tallied a 1.17 ERA, while striking out eight batters.
- Allowed just 10 hits and two earned runs.
