LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men’s golf team returned to the national top-25 rankings as it checked in at No. 16 in the latest rankings released Wednesday via Scoreboard Powered by Clippd.
The Rebels, who appear in a national top-25 ranking list for the first time since the 2018-19 season, jumped 15 spots from No. 31 after a second-place showing as host of the prestigious Southern Highlands Collegiate. At its annual home event, the Scarlet & Gray bested eight of nine top-25 ranked squads, landing only behind then-No. 2 Auburn, which takes over as the nation’s new top-ranked team.
During the 2024-25 campaign, UNLV has notched two team wins among four top-5 team performances, including first-place finishes at SMU’s Trinity Forest Invitational in the fall and Hawai’i’s John A. Burns Intercollegiate this spring. Additionally, the Rebels have now had individual champions in back-to-back events with senior Caden Fioroni’s (Southern Highlands Collegiate) and sophomore Zach Little’s (Burns Intercollegiate) first career victories.
UP NEXT: UNLV will return to action on March 17 at the two-day All-American Intercollegiate being hosted by Houston at the Golf Club of Houston.
