MW Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Dec. 9

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State’s Brooke Carlson was named the Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player and Freshman of the Week.

• Led the Rams to an overtime win over Gonzaga (74-72) for a 1-0 week.
• Against the Bulldogs, tallied 18 points and five assists, both career-highs. Also contributed two steals and one rebound for the Green and Gold.
• The Illinois native sparked a comeback for Colorado State with 13 of her points coming in the second half.
• Hit the game-winning layup with two seconds left in overtime.
• Shot 5-for-11 from the field, 2-for-4 from beyond the arc and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line.
