COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico’s Vicky Maes was announced on Friday as the Mountain West Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year as voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches. This marks the second time a Lobo head coach has been selected for the honor and first since 2004.

In her seventh year at the helm, Maes led the Lobos to a MW Regular-Season title with an 8-1 MW record and a 19-3 overall mark. Maes saw three Lobos receive All-MW honors, two in singles and one doubles team, for the 2024 season.
